I hitched up my Go Easy for the first time and took it for a drive yesterday, and noticed one of the brake lights was not working. When I disconnected the tongue, I observed exposed wiring.

The tongue of your trailer was installed after it left our facility. The wiring harness was disconnected from the tailgate when the tongue was removed, including the 4-pin connection at the back of the trailer and the one on the tongue end. To fix it

Based on our records, it looks like the tongue of your trailer was installed after it left our facility. It's unclear why your trailer's lights weren't working when you first took it out, but from the pictures you sent, it appears that the wiring harness was disconnected from the tailgate when the tongue was removed. Specifically, you disconnected the 4-pin plug at the back of the trailer, but there is also a 4-pin connection on the trailer end of the tongue that should have been disconnected prior to removing the tongue.

To fix this, you'll need to remove the tailgate to feed the spine portion of the wiring harness (the loose wires hanging out of the tongue in your picture) back through the spine to the 4-pin connection at the tailgate. Removing the tailgate is straightforward - there are six 13mm bolts that need to be removed, four on each corner and two on the bottom center. Once the tailgate is off, disconnect the spine portion of the wiring harness from the base of the tongue and feed it through the spine. Then, reconnect the 4-pin connection at the tailgate and replace the tailgate and bolts.

For the amber marker lights, you'll need to pull the light stub connections out of the tongue and use a pick tool or coat hanger to grab the wiring harness stubs for the amber lights. Pull them out of the tongue, reattach them, and put them back into the tongue.
